Accounts Payable Specialist Job in Chula Vista, CA

LHH is looking to fill a Temp-to-Direct Hire Accounts Payable Specialist Job in Chula Vista, CA. Qualified candidates will have, at minimum, two years of relevant AP experience in an office setting with intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel, Word as well as Outlook. This position will start in-office, but the client is also flexible to some hybrid days once fully trained!

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE AP SPECIALIST JOB

· Process high volume invoices; 100-200 weekly

· Utilize 2 and 3-way matching

· Obtain and verify approval of invoices prior to payment

· Report directly to the Accounting Manager

· Assist with month-end close (accruals, reconciliations, etc…)

· Investigate discrepancies with vendors

QUALIFICATIONS

· Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

· Minimum of three years of experience

· Strong attention to detail

· Experience with ERP systems (i.e. Great Plains, Netsuite)

· Ability to accurately use a 10-key
